Tucson and Tubac

We were able to enjoy a home shower and do laundry at Darrin's house. Julie went to work. Norm and Darrin went to a dog spa for all 4 dogs and Norm had the truck washed too. We are going to visit Julie at her work and then go to Tubac- south of tucson.

We had the best ribs!

Tubac is an Artist Community with Studios and shops.

On To Tucson

We had a beautiful sunny drive on to Tucson. It was 38 degrees this morning and now in Tucson, it's 80 degrees! Love it. Here are photos all along route 60 and 77 south, through the Salt River Canyon and into Globe, Winkleman, etc. The vegetation changed from high evergreen trees to cactus and rock mountains. Beautiful.

White Mountains and Greer- April 26

Plans had to change due to the weather. Darrin and John were going to ride their motorcycles and we were going to follow them. But we had SNOW this morning! So we all piled into the truck (dogs stayed in the camper) and we drove to the White Mountains. We saw a herd of antelope and kept looking for elk but never saw any. The tall evergreens were covered with snow and the view of the mountains was covered with fog and snow. We did stop several times to see the lakes. It was in the Apache Reservation. Later for lunch we went to Molly Butler Lodge and had a nice late burger lunch. Back to the campground. A quiet but fun day. Tomorrow we will go to Tucson- much warmer there!
