This was a laundry day and then we took off for the 5 hour drive to Pomona, CA. It wasn't a very exciting drive- actually sort of boring. Flat, sand, gray hills, power lines. Then we came to the San Bernardino Mountains and traffic. 6 lanes. A hint of what we'll run into in the next few days in Los Angeles. We pickup our son Dan at LAX airport tomorrow for a few days with us. Our KOA Campground has pretty purple trees called Jacaranda. 65 degrees- cooler.

LAS VEGAS
It was only an hour and a half drive to Las Vegas- to bring Barbara to the airport for her to go home. It is too bad she has to go back to work. we have enjoyed having her with us.
What a culture shock! Norm and I went to lunch in the New York New York Hotel and then tried the slot machines for awhile. We took the tram to other hotels and walked a lot. Then we drove down the strip and saw all of the huge displays and hotels. Back to the campground.

On to Our next Campground in Panguitch Utah
We stopped in Virgin, Utah at the Trading post and then had a late lunch along the road. Today is Cinco De Mayo so we stopped at a liquor store and got supplies for Margaritas. :) We played Cribbage, had dinner and had fun. Nice last night with Barbara.
More of Zion National Park
We continued to be amazed. Barbara sat in the front and didn't like the cliff edges near the side of the road. We drove a lot of narrow switchbacks up and a steep down. We got the camper stuck in the visitors center- rv parking lot because someone blocked the exit. After 1/2 hour Norm got us out. We stopped at a lot of pulloffs for views and photos.
