At Marty's in Bend

We are enjoying visiting with Marty- had several great meals here. Bend has tons of restaurants. He is working on the truck brakes now. We are relaxing in our camper. Angus likes to help plan the trip. Angus and Bonnie are going to a dog park here this afternoon! We are going to dinner with my cousin Scott and his wife Colleen tonight. Then we go to Portland tomorrow.

Visiting Norm's son Marty in Bend Oregon

We arrived at about 8 pm and went with Marty to M & J Tavern where we had the greatest pizza ever and listened to the open mike music. Marty is a very accomplished guitarist and he played about 5 pieces. People loved his music. Later he joined another band as lead guitarist. They weren't as good. In the morning we saw Marty's auto shop. He fixed Norm's truck brakes. We met his 13 year old sweet dog, Molly. Then we went to have lunch at the Bend Burger Co- the best burger ever.

Crater Lake Nat Park

It was cloudy and rainy today. The drive north was similar to other days of evergreens. Almost like Maine. Then we climbed to go see Crater Lake. Wow. Snow everywhere and deep. 43degrees. The Lake is so blue. Turquoise around the island. The brochure said it was the most blue and deepest lake in the US.

Wildflowers

Yesterday I collected wildflowers along the way. Last night I painted some of them. 2 days ago I did the same. Fun. Just fun.

Amazing flowers. Photo came out dark.
Finding the flowers are like little treasures

After Norm fished in the Eel River,  and I did some watercolors, we headed north on Rte 101 to Eureka, Crescent City, the Pacific Coast. Then Rte 199 towards Oregon.

Typical CA beach. We watched a surfer trying to ride a wave

The sun came out and we were in Oregon!

I took a ton of photos but only added 45 here! Enjoy What a beautiful, relaxing enjoyable day. We stopped a lot along the way. We have a nice green campground for tonight here in O'Brien Oregon.
