Drive to Pomona California

This was a laundry day and then we took off for the 5 hour drive to Pomona, CA. It wasn't a very exciting drive- actually sort of boring. Flat, sand, gray hills, power lines. Then we came to the San Bernardino Mountains and traffic. 6 lanes. A hint of what we'll run into in the next few days in Los Angeles. We pickup our son Dan at LAX airport tomorrow for a few days with us. Our KOA Campground has pretty purple trees called Jacaranda. 65 degrees- cooler.

Glad to hear Dan will be hitching a ride with you for a while. Sounds fun!

I visited Pomona when Maddie was checking out colleges. It was a bit too far from the big city for her but we loved the school. Nice little town, too.
