Yosemite South- May 14

It was raining and we decided to take a rest. We stayed at the Yosemite South KOA Campground. Wifi didn't work. We were forced to read, rest and watch some tv. Nice change.
Today we will go into Yosemite.
It was cloudy and rainy but still we got to see a lot.

We enjoyed an afternoon in the Sequoia Forest. Amazing big trees. Some 40 ft in diameter. Branches 6 ft in diameter! Some 2000 years old.

Bakersfield California

After we dropped Dan off at the LAX Airport in LA, we had a short drive to Bakersfield, CA. Had a dinner and are recouping tonight.

We had a nice day at Universal Studios with Dan. He loved the Studio Ride- which was rocky,loud, electric, fire-y, 3-D and fun. HE wanted to see the NCIS-LA studio but was fine with what we did see. We went to a Special Effects Show and enjoyed that too.

Los Angeles with Our son Dan

 
We picked our son Dan up at Southwestern Airlines at LAX and then went to take a hop/on- hop/off bus to see Hollywood and Beverly Hills. We saw a lot of exotic cars. then he wanted to go to the campground and see our dog Angus. He and Dan have  a special relationship. Bonnie was happy to see him too.
The Next day we all drove to Long Beach to see my actor cousin Garrett Brown (cuz Gary to me) and his wife Maria. First we saw the seashore- the Queen Mary ad the Marina. Then to Gary's house. He has a fabulous house with so much to see- everywhere you look. They are on a lake and have a great house ( hurricane proof). Marie's sister and her husband were there. Marie's daughter Daniella was there with her boyfriend Peter; Maria's son, Jeremy came and his wife Laura was their with their 2 adorable daughters 3 and 2. Maria had a delightful luncheon for all of us. We got to see all of Gary's artwork (numerous) and his studio. He just finished a movie, "Hello, My name is Frank" and is now filming a "American Criminals' tv series of 10 nights.
The next day we took Dan to Universal Studios for the day. It was like Disney only about films. Great day. The studio Tour ride was memorable- shaky, wet, loud, and fun! We had fun.
